EMT (Electrical Metallic Tube) CONDUIT

Barton EMT conduit is the most cost-effective premium quality conduit solution, where light weight and maximum wire carrying capacity are important factors in the electrical cable protection system.

Barton EMT is manufactured in accordance with UL 797 and ANSI C80.3 on modern and efficient tube rolling mills to consistently high standards.

Barton EMT conduit is easily installed, modified, and repurposed. It provides excellent strength to weight and good resistance against corrosion when correctly installed.

Barton products are backed by a fast, reliable and comprehensive local service.

Sizes: Nominal trade sizes are from ½” to 4”

Length: EMT conduit is produced in 3.05m (10 ft) traditional standard lengths.

RMC (RIGID METAL CONDUIT)

Barton RMC is a thick-walled, highly corrosion-resistant, high-strength, threaded ductile steel conduit, designed for heavy duty electrical installations.

Barton RMC conduit is hot dip galvanised after production to ensure maximum protection.

Barton RMC conduit offers excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.

It has NPT threaded fittings.

It has a coating of zinc on both outside and inside surfaces.

It is non-combustible and can be used indoors, outdoors, underground, concealed or in exposed areas.

Sizes: Nominal trade sizes are from ½” to 6”

Length: RMC conduit is produced in 3.05m (10 ft) traditional standard lengths including coupler.

IMC (INTERMEDIATE METAL CONDUIT)

Barton IMC is a high strength, threaded ductile steel conduit, hot dip galvanised after manufacture for maximum resistance against corrosion.

Barton IMC conduit has NPT threaded fittings.

Barton IMC conduit offers excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and corrosive environments.

Sizes: Nominal trade sizes are from ½” to 4”

Length: IMC conduit is produced in in 3.05m (10 ft) traditional standard lengths including coupler.

Flexible Metal Conduit

Barton UL flexible steel conduit systems protect power, lighting, and data cables within electrical installations from vibrations, movements, corrosion, and damage. The galvanised steel core is manufactured in accordance with UL 1 or UL 360 standards, resulting in a smooth bore that facilitates cable pulling.

These systems are available in steel or with a PVC or liquid-tight covering. Barton flexible steel conduit systems are designed to perform well in harsh environments, such as extreme temperatures, humidity, salinity, dust, and UV exposure

  • Highly flexible.
  • High mechanical strength.
  • Inherent low fire hazard.
  • Operating temperature: -100 C to +300 C.
  • IP rating with standard fittings: IP40.

EMT/IMC/RMC Fittings and Accessories

Barton Engineering offers a complete range of UL standard conduit fittings, accessories, and conduit bodies in various materials to suit diverse environmental conditions and mechanical needs. The UL fittings range is designed to quickly and easily complete electrical installations.

  • Aluminum: Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, providing cost-effective solutions in less demanding environments.
  • Zinc Die Cast: Offers excellent corrosion resistance, perfect for both wet and dry extreme environmental conditions.
  • Malleable Iron: Known for its ability to resist impact and wear, making it ideal for heavy-duty installations.
  • Steel: Strong, durable, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Standard: UL 797/ANSI C80.3/UL514B

UTILITY BOXES

The Barton UL Utility box is a metal box used to house electrical components of an electrical installation. Examples include housings for wiring devices and alarm points.

All Barton utility boxes are manufactured from steel and are considerably more durable, fireproof and secure compared to similar shaped plastic items.

The utility box also allows for changes of direction in the wiring installation.

The Barton utility box is compatible with both BS and EMT conduit ranges and are available in rectangular, square and octagonal designs.

Octagonal boxes are deeper than round pan boxes, and provide more space for wiring. They can be used as junction boxes.

Box extenders are also available to increase the capacity of the box (more space for wiring) or bring the box flush with the surface.

Material: Pre-coated galvanised steel

Barton combi conduit forming Machine for BS and UL standard conduit system

Barton Combi UL/BS Standard Conduit Forming Machine features a compact, robust design built to withstand harsh construction site conditions.

The precision pressure die cast aluminium former is equipped with anti-slip grooves to ensure precise and accurate bends. The machine guarantees even pressure distribution during the bending process, avoiding any stress points.

Effortless bending is achievable even by semi-experienced operators, reducing manual force and minimising physical stress and operator fatigue.

It is the quickest, safest, and easiest combi conduit forming machine, delivering guaranteed results with every use.
